This Volpaia Coltassala Chianti Classico Gran Selezione is a stunning expression of Sangiovese with its vibrant ruby hue and inviting aromas of ripe wild berries, cherries, plums and sweet spices. The palate is silky smooth, with layers of ripe fruit flavors backed by notes of earth, forest floor, baking spices and a hint of dark chocolate. It has a long, complex finish that lingers in the mouth. Enjoy this delightful wine now or age it for a few more years to gain further complexity.
