Valdicava Brunello di Montalcino 2021

Bold and sophisticated wine with a deep, licorice/anise nose, balanced by earthy and herbal undertones. The lasting impression is long and satisfying, with traces of fruit on the palate. Overall, a well-balanced and delightful wine that is sure to please. The label's Saint Michael motif adds a touch of whimsy to the overall experience.

Masterful blend of ages, Mike's Brunello proved a stunning surprise. From a young age, it was clear this wine was something special. We shifted seamlessly through a range of styles, from Aussie Shiraz to Bordeaux to Brunello. \n\nThis superb producer is truly in a league of its own, and this particular wine is a prime example. With years still to come, it's already hitting its sweet spot. This was a truly outstanding wine, with a cohesive evenness of elegance and power. \n\nThe nose was refined, with delicate layers of black truffle, forest floor, and opaque cherries. On the palate, the wine was a powerhouse, with plum, toasted oak, and tar adding intensity and complexity. The lasting impression was long and satisfying.
