The grassy undertones are a jarring departure from the expected fruit-forward profile of a Cabernet Sauvignon. Instead, the nose and taste are led by by blackberry and cherry notes, which may be appealing to some, but detract from the comprehensively character of this wine.

What the web is saying

This Cabernet Sauvignon receives praise for its smooth texture, balanced fruit flavors, and approachable drinking style. While many appreciate its blackberry, plum, and oak notes with a well-integrated structure, some find it overly sweet or lacking complexity. Reviews highlight a tension between its fruit-forward character (blackberry appears in 15+ mentions) and occasional sharp tannins or excessive sweetness that divides opinions.

Voss Experts3.8

This Ultraviolet Cabernet Sauvignon is an elegant, medium-bodied red wine that displays aromas of blackberry, cassis, and black cherry, complemented by earthy notes of forest floor and leather. On the palate, it has a rich, velvety texture and flavors of dark fruit, with a hint of spice and a long, pleasant finish.
