A understated strawberry boldness in the nose, rather soft and gentle, sets the tone for a classy experience. The profile is elevated by a sweet jam that distinguishes it from many others, as soft tannins provide a subtle composition and a spicy linger that adds depth. A well-crafted wine, but a slight misstep due to the boldness of Sam Neill's influence, which detracts from the on the whole experience. A half-star deduction for this.
