Rich, full-bodied wine with a intricate earthy profile, perfect for sipping or pairing with pasta dishes.

Rich, full-bodied ruby with intense layers and a developing nose that features a intense array of opaque fruit flavors, highlighting blackberry, blueberry, blackcurrant, and spices, alongside toasted hints and a trace of smoke. The dry profile is well-balanced, with a high level of tannin and acidity, resulting in a long, intense finish. A high-quality wine with excellent potential for aging, but best consumed now.

What the web is saying

Turley Old Vines Zinfandel is celebrated for its rich, full-bodied profile dominated by jammy dark fruit flavors like blackberry, plum, and blueberry, accented by peppery spice and earthy undertones. While praised for its bold character and smooth tannins, some find it overly sweet or lacking complexity. Its high alcohol content (15.5% ABV) is noted but generally well-integrated.

Voss Experts3.8

This Turley Old Vines Zinfandel is an intense and powerful expression of Zinfandel. It offers aromas of ripe blackberry and raspberry fruit, framed by a hint of black pepper spice. On the palate, the wine's flavors are concentrated and intense, showing dark berry fruit and a touch of baking spice. The finish is long and persistent, with a lingering hint of warm tannins. Overall, this is an excellent expression of Zinfandel.
