This Montepulciano d'Abruzzo presents a deep ruby hue, indicative of its robust character. On the nose, it reveals an intricate bouquet of ripe black cherries, dried herbs, and a hint of leather, underscored by subtle earthy nuances. The palate is a harmonious blend of vibrant acidity and firm tannins, providing a structured backbone that supports flavors of dark plum, licorice, and a whisper of black pepper. The finish is long and savory, with a mineral edge that speaks to its Abruzzo terroir. This wine exemplifies the region's potential for crafting expressive, age-worthy reds.

Simond
Straightforward, unremarkable wine that fails to impress, but doesn't quite fall flat either. For pairing with food, I suggest a classic combo: a basic table wine, such as a generic red or white, paired with a familiar, comforting dish like a McDonald's Big Mac, with or without fries.
Hoep
Harmonious union of nuances and textures, this pairing proved to be a match made in heaven. The rich, round grip of the wine matched the bold, savory layers of the steak, whereas the concentrated berry tones added profoundness and complexity. The creamy sauce and grilled vegetables provided a comforting contrast, making for a truly delightful dining experience. The dessert, Bananas Foster, was a sweet and satisfying treat that precisely rounded out the meal. If you haven't tried this style, do so - it's a culinary delight that's sure to please.
Macgregor
A multi faceted and alluring fruit profile emerges, with a raisin-like aroma, a sweet and juicy apricot flavor, and a bright green apple undertone. The finale is bright and tart, with a strong tannin impression and a light mineral note of graphite.
