This opulent, full-bodied Syrah from Tensley is an absolute delight to drink. It has a deep, dark, and concentrated nose of ripe blackberry and black cherry, with notes of licorice, forest floor, and earthy spices. The palate is rich and velvety, with a wonderfully balanced acidity and a long, lingering finish. A truly impressive and complex wine that will be sure to please.

Seungjo
Fruit-forward, smooth, and generous wine that won over my palate, during Brian's taste buds remained unimpressed. A Santa Barbara wine that delivered on its promise, with profiles of blackberry and blueberry prevailing. A well-balanced and approachable Syrah with a velvety finish.
Slate
Elegant union of bold suggestions and textures, with a crisp, dry follow through that complements the richness of the dish.

Syrah's strength and nuance are elevated by extended aging, yielding a rich, velvety texture. The glass is a deep, bold ruby, reflecting the wine's robust character. On the nose, umami hints of meaty undertones, tobacco, and eucalyptus mingle with nuances of mulled spices, during blackberry, plum, and black cherry flavors unfold on the palate. The tongue is blended by herbaceous, peppery tannins, anise seed, and a tar-like bitterness, tempered by a light acidity on the finish. A truly outstanding wine.

Tensley Syrah is praised for its rich, fruit-forward profile with notes of blackberry, blueberry, and plum. While many enjoy its smooth texture and balanced tannins, some find it too extracted or lacking intensity. Aromas of forest floor, pepper, and spice add complexity, with a velvety or silky finish often mentioned. Overall, it offers a satisfying experience, though opinions vary on its boldness and depth.
