Spookfontein Cabernet Sauvignon

Spookfontein Cabernet Sauvignon is praised for its rich, deep flavors of dark fruits, berries, and subtle earthiness. Many appreciate its smooth, silky texture and well-balanced tannins, though some find it slightly underwhelming. Notes of leather, chocolate, and spice add complexity, while a dry finish is noted by some. Overall, it's a comforting and enjoyable wine, especially for those who favor a full-bodied experience.

This Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon presents a deep garnet hue, revealing a bouquet of blackcurrant, cassis, and subtle graphite, underscored by hints of cedar and dark chocolate. The palate is robust yet refined, with velvety tannins and a core of ripe plum and blackberry flavors, seamlessly integrated with nuances of dried herbs and a whisper of vanilla from well-judged oak maturation. A vibrant acidity provides lift, while the lengthy finish echoes with mineral undertones and a touch of anise. This wine exemplifies the classic structure and elegance of South African Cabernet, offering both immediate appeal and aging potential.
