Southern Right Pinotage is praised for its rich, full-bodied profile with flavors of plum, cherry, and red berries, complemented by earthy, flinty, and spicy notes. While some appreciate its smooth texture and long finish, others find the tannins firm and the style somewhat off-putting. The wine's complexity and aging potential are often highlighted, making it a versatile choice for pairing with various dishes.
This Southern Right Pinotage has a dark and intense ruby color, with aromas of ripe plum and cherry, and notes of forest floor, leather, and black pepper. On the palate, it is well-balanced with a full body, smooth tannins, and a long finish. The flavors of dark fruit and spice are complemented by a hint of oak. This is an excellent example of a South African Pinotage and is sure to please any fan of the variety.
