The 6-month sur lie aging in barrel adds density and complexity, whereas the 16-month bottle aging prior to disgorging enhances the wine's overall richness and balance. The fine creamy mousse and tiny rapid bubble flow add to the wine's tactile quality and structure, as the zest and spice accents provide a nice counterpoint to the fruitiness. Overall, a well-balanced and harmonious wine with a long finish.
