Scotto Family Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Scotto Family Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon is praised for its rich, full-bodied profile with notes of berries, cassis, and pepper. While some find it soft and fruit-forward, others criticize it for lacking complexity. The wine is often described as having a smooth finish and is considered a good value, especially for casual dining. Aging enhances its flavors, making it suitable for special occasions.

This Cabernet Sauvignon presents a deep garnet hue, immediately suggesting its robust character. The nose is a sophisticated interplay of blackcurrant, dark cherry, and subtle graphite, underscored by a whisper of cedar and vanilla from well-judged oak maturation. On the palate, it reveals a full-bodied structure with finely grained tannins and a vibrant acidity that provides lift and balance. The mid-palate is layered with notes of ripe plum and cassis, leading to a long, harmonious finish with hints of dark chocolate and a touch of spice. This wine exemplifies the classic elegance of California Cabernet.
