Scarpetta Frico Friulano is praised for its refreshing, crisp character with notes of apple, grapefruit, and citrus. While some appreciate its lively acidity and mineral undertones, others find the aroma off-putting, citing sulfur and egg-like scents. The wine's versatility makes it suitable for pairing with various dishes, though opinions on its harmony vary.
This Friulano presents a pale straw hue with a delicate green tinge, indicative of its youthful vibrancy. The nose is an intricate tapestry of white peach, almond blossom, and a whisper of fennel, underscored by a subtle minerality. On the palate, it reveals a medium-bodied structure, where crisp acidity harmonizes with flavors of ripe pear and a hint of bitter almond, leading to a clean, saline finish. This wine exemplifies the quintessential Friulian style, offering both elegance and a refreshing complexity, making it a superb companion to seafood or light pasta dishes.
