Balsamico
A complex and challenging wine with a rough body that overpowered the palate. The herbaceous layers were overpowering, making it feel too sharp. Perhaps it was still in its youth. The fruit was predominantly opaque blackberry and plum, with toasted oak attempting to assert itself, but ultimately creating an awkward balance. The in summary flavor profile was subdued, but not yet fully mature. A rich, heavy dish might help to stability it out. Alternatively, a dish with a softer, more subtle white wine, such as Albarino, would be more suitable. A return to a lighter, more subtle wine is recommended.
