The Sandlands Red 2019 is praised for its rich, silky texture and refined finish. It features delicate vanilla and oak undertones, complemented by earthy notes and a fruit-forward profile with red fruit hints, offering a delightful experience.
Sandlands Red presents a deep garnet hue, hinting at its concentrated nature. The nose unfolds with a complex bouquet of black cherry, dried herbs, and a whisper of cedar, underscored by a mineral edge. On the palate, the wine reveals a harmonious balance of ripe plum and dark berry flavors, supported by firm tannins and a vibrant acidity that ensures freshness. The mid-palate is layered with subtle notes of anise and graphite, leading to a long, savory finish. This wine exemplifies the deft craftsmanship of its region, offering both immediate appeal and potential for further development.
