A luminous garnet hue introduces this Pinot Noir, offering a bouquet of ripe red cherries, rose petals, and a whisper of forest floor, indicative of its Santa Rita Hills provenance. The palate is elegantly structured, with a silky texture that frames flavors of cranberry, pomegranate, and subtle spice. A vibrant acidity underscores the wine's freshness, while fine-grained tannins provide a gentle grip, leading to a long, mineral-laden finish. This wine exemplifies the cool-climate finesse of the region, balancing fruit purity with nuanced complexity, making it a benchmark for California Pinot Noir.

We are 50+ wine professionals (sommeliers, buyers, MW candidates) across the US, UK, France, Greece, Italy, and beyond. We review wines via blind tastings with a standardized rubric, using both 100-point and 5-star scales.

Sandhi Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir originates from the cool-climate vineyards of the Santa Rita Hills AVA in California, where the Pacific Ocean's influence ensures a long growing season with balanced ripeness and acidity. The wine is crafted using traditional techniques, including whole-cluster fermentation and aging in neutral French oak barrels, to preserve the purity of fruit and terroir expression. This Pinot Noir showcases bright red fruit flavors, subtle earthiness, and a refined structure, making it suitable for immediate enjoyment or short-term cellaring.
