Sand Point Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

Sand Point Cabernet Sauvignon is praised for its rich, full-bodied profile with flavors of cherry, blackberry, and chocolate. It features a balanced oak presence and smooth tannins, offering a satisfying finish. While some appreciate its complexity and value, others find it slightly dry or astringent. Overall, it's considered a well-crafted wine with a compelling price point.

Displaying a deep garnet hue, Sand Point Cabernet Sauvignon opens with an inviting bouquet of ripe blackcurrant, plum, and a hint of cedar, underscored by subtle notes of graphite and dark chocolate. The palate is robust yet polished, with velvety tannins providing a firm structure that supports layers of black cherry and cassis. A balanced acidity lends freshness, while a whisper of vanilla and spice from well-integrated oak enhances the wine's complexity. The finish is long and satisfying, echoing the wine's fruit-driven core. This Cabernet exemplifies the approachable yet sophisticated style of California's Lodi region.
