Gentle and fruity wine with a current flavor profile, but not overly sweet.

A delightful evening awaits, with Argentina's Cabernet Sauvignon on the menu. A sophisticated and elegant wine, with a soft richness and complexity. The ripe cherry jam and BBQ smoke add a sweet and savory note, during the green pepper provides a gentle crunch. The soft tannins and lightly aged trail make for a refined and fulfilling conclusion. A charming and satisfying wine, perfect for a Friday night.

Pleasing wine discovery in La Boca, paired with a hearty Bife de Chorizo and a luscious Morcilla.

What the web is saying

Salentein Portillo Cabernet Sauvignon is appreciated for its rich, full-bodied character with flavors of blackberry, cherry, and plum. Some enjoy its smooth texture and balanced tannins, while others find it heavy with a lingering aftertaste. The wine offers a mix of fruit and earthy notes, with occasional hints of flint and anise. It's seen as a reliable, affordable option, though not universally resonant.

Voss Experts3.8

The Salentein Portillo Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied red wine with notes of dark cherry, cassis, and blackberry. On the palate, its tannins are intense yet smooth with a hint of mocha and spice on the finish. This wine is perfect for pairing with grilled meats and hearty stews.
