Sweet, syrupy, and honey-like quality dominates this wine, with a smooth, round body that covers the palate.

Smooth blend of Furmint, árslevelű, and Muscat grapes, displaying a vibrant and bright quality. The 2018 vintage is a stonking representation of the region's characteristics, during the 2019 showcasing is a bit more subdued. The sweetness of the fruit is even by a elegant finish, but ultimately, the wine lacks substance and richness. A solid 83 points, but perhaps not the most impressive top pick for those chasing a more rich experience.

What the web is saying

Royal Tokaji Late Harvest is praised for its rich sweetness and balanced acidity, with notes of apricot, honey, and tropical fruits. Some find it syrupy and perfect for pairing with desserts, while others feel it lacks depth. The wine's floral and spicy undertones are appreciated, and its smooth, velvety texture is often highlighted. While some prefer its lighter, zesty profile, others enjoy its robust, rich character.

Voss Experts3.8

This Royal Tokaji Late Harvest is a sweet and luscious dessert wine with a distinctive honey aroma. The palate is full-bodied and complex, with flavors of apricot, peach, and honey. The finish is long and lush with a hint of spice. It's a delightful after-dinner treat that will be sure to please every guest.
