After 3 years of recommended storage, the wine's robust tropical and pineapple aromas still lingered, accompanied by a mild accent of Mandarin fruit. The profile was defined by a zesty fruitiness, accompanied by a smooth, buttery body that lingered on the finish. A brief tail prevented me from awarding the wine a full 4 stars.
Damille
Substantial amount of citrus suggestions in this Chardonnay, with no oak accents present. The brightness is out of balance for the reviewer, who finds it unappealing. Despite its substantial body, the drink is not importantly memorable, and the reviewer is unlikely to choose it again in the future.
Cricky
Lean and well-balanced wine with a crisp, clean finish, expressing a fruity and slightly acidic character.

Riebeek Cellars Chardonnay offers a mix of tropical and citrus flavors, with pineapple and citrus being common. While some appreciate its smooth, buttery body and well-balanced profile, others find it unremarkable or too bright. The wine is often unoaked, with occasional hints of vanilla and mineral notes, leading to a clean, refreshing finish. Opinions vary on its memorability and balance.
This Riebeek Cellars Chardonnay is a delightful white wine with a golden yellow hue. On the nose, it has aromas of ripe stone fruit, honey, and buttery toast. On the palate, this wine is smooth with a medium body and a balanced acidity. It has flavours of ripe apples, honey, and lemon zest that linger on the finish. Overall, this is a pleasant and easy drinking Chardonnay with a good length.
