The fruit of Francesco Ricasoldi's ambitious Zonation project to understand the full potential of the region and its unique terroir, yielding a wine that embodies the essence of Sangiovese in the heart of Chianti. Fresh and herbaceous notes, tanginess and a minerality that cuts through the richness, with a soil profile that showcases the region's distinct marine and sandy deposits. A pure and elegant expression of the grape, demonstrating its remarkable qualities.

Voss Experts4.3

The Ricasoli Roncicone Chianti Classico Gran Selezione is an exceptional wine that showcases the best of Chianti Classico. On the nose, it offers an enticing bouquet of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and plums, accompanied by subtle hints of spice and earthiness. On the palate, this wine exhibits a harmonious balance between its fruitiness and its well-integrated tannins. The flavors of red berries and cherries are complemented by notes of forest floor and leather, adding complexity and depth. The wine's medium to full body provides a satisfying mouthfeel, while its lively acidity contributes to a refreshing finish. The Ricasoli Roncicone Chianti Classico Gran Selezione is a wine that can be enjoyed now, but it also has the potential for further aging. It pairs wonderfully with a variety of dishes, including grilled meats, pasta with tomato-based sauces, and aged cheeses.
