Displaying a deep garnet hue, the Quest Cabernet Franc opens with an intricate bouquet of blackcurrant, crushed violets, and a hint of graphite. On the palate, it reveals a medium-bodied structure with finely woven tannins and a vibrant acidity that propels flavors of ripe plum and dark cherry. Subtle notes of cedar and green peppercorn add layers of complexity, leading to a lingering finish marked by mineral undertones. This wine exemplifies the varietal's potential, offering a refined expression that aligns with the classic Loire Valley style while showcasing a modern, New World twist.

We are 50+ wine professionals (sommeliers, buyers, MW candidates) across the US, UK, France, Greece, Italy, and beyond. We review wines via blind tastings with a standardized rubric, using both 100-point and 5-star scales.

Quest Cabernet Franc is crafted from grapes grown in the Paso Robles region, where the warm days and cool nights create ideal conditions for ripening. This wine showcases a medium-bodied style with a focus on fresh fruit expression. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks to preserve the varietal's natural character, followed by aging in a combination of neutral and new French oak barrels to add subtle complexity. The result is a balanced wine with vibrant acidity, offering notes of red berries and a hint of spice, suitable for immediate enjoyment or short-term cellaring.
