Intense and concentrated Barolo with supple tannins, ripe fruit, and a long life. Produced in limited quantities and in stellar vintages, it is a wine that rewards patience and careful consideration. though it may not be the most highly rated, it is a well-crafted and elegant wine that is sure to please.

Pale ruby wine with a garnet rim, featuring a well-rounded nose of cherry, oak, leather, chocolate, violet, and nuances of vanilla and star anise. The nose was the weakest aspect, with a lean, fresh but textured character. The palate was similarly balanced, with a lean bodied and dry texture, but a weak concentration and flat aftertaste. The tannins and bracing quality were firm, but the altogether highlight was disappointing, with a deduction of 0.5 points.
