Voss Expert4.5/5

Voss Expert tasting note

Orleto presents a deep garnet hue, indicative of its robust character. The bouquet is an intricate weave of dark plum, blackcurrant, and a hint of dried herbs, underscored by subtle notes of cedar and graphite. On the palate, it unveils a full-bodied structure, with velvety tannins and a vibrant acidity that provides a backbone to the rich, layered flavors of ripe blackberry and cassis. The finish is long and harmonious, with a whisper of dark chocolate and a mineral edge. This wine exemplifies the finesse and depth typical of its esteemed region, promising both immediate pleasure and potential for aging.

Orleto is a red wine crafted from Sangiovese grapes grown in the rolling hills of Tuscany, benefiting from the region's warm days and cool nights. The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and undergo fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve their natural fruit character. A portion of the wine is aged in French oak barrels, adding subtle complexity and structure. This medium-bodied wine showcases red berry flavors with hints of spice and a balanced acidity, making it suitable for immediate enjoyment or short-term cellaring.
