Olivier Coste Rare Carignan Blanc is praised for its expressive apricot, vanilla, and dried herbs, balanced with white pepper and anise. While some appreciate its citrus, green apple, and honey notes, others highlight its minerality and refreshing finish. The wine is medium-bodied with a bright freshness, though some find the finish brief. It's a well-crafted, cost-effective choice for warm weather.
A luminous pale straw hue sets the stage for this distinctive Carignan Blanc, offering a nose of white peach, elderflower, and a whisper of wet stone minerality. On the palate, it unfolds with a poised balance of vibrant acidity and a subtle creaminess, showcasing flavors of green apple, lemon zest, and a hint of almond. The wine's medium body is elegantly structured, leading to a crisp, saline-inflected finish that lingers with a touch of fennel. This wine exemplifies the finesse and unique character of Carignan Blanc, making it a compelling choice for connoisseurs seeking varietal distinction.
