Silky and friendly wine with a mild fruitiness, featuring red cherry, strawberry, and citrus notes, seamless by a dry tail and a medium body. The palate is rounded by earthy undertones, while soft tannins emerge on the finish. A versatile wine that pairs well with lighter Greek dishes, but may not be right for richer or heartier fare.

Voss Experts4.5

A deep garnet hue introduces the Oenogenesis Mataroa Red, revealing a bouquet of blackcurrant, ripe plum, and subtle graphite, underscored by whispers of cedar and dark chocolate. On the palate, this wine showcases a robust structure with finely grained tannins and a harmonious balance of acidity, which elegantly frames its concentrated core of blackberry and cassis. The mid-palate unveils layers of earthy minerality and a hint of anise, leading to a prolonged, velvety finish. This wine exemplifies the quintessential character of its region, offering both immediate appeal and potential for graceful aging.
