This Pinot Nero from Muri-Gries presents a luminous ruby hue, offering an aromatic bouquet of ripe red cherries, wild strawberries, and subtle hints of forest floor. On the palate, it showcases a harmonious balance between its vibrant acidity and fine-grained tannins, creating a supple texture. The wine's mid-palate reveals layers of red currant and a whisper of clove, leading to a refined, mineral-driven finish. This elegant expression of Alto Adige Pinot Nero demonstrates both finesse and depth, aligning well with the region's reputation for producing nuanced and expressive cool-climate reds.

Muri-Gries Pinot Nero hails from the Alto Adige region in northern Italy, where the cool climate and alpine influences contribute to its refined character. The vineyards are situated at elevations that allow for optimal sun exposure while maintaining a crisp acidity. This Pinot Nero is fermented in stainless steel to preserve its fresh fruit profile, followed by a period of aging in large oak barrels, which adds subtle complexity without overpowering the wine's natural elegance. The result is a balanced red wine with bright cherry and berry notes, suitable for those who appreciate a classic, food-friendly style.
