Displaying a vibrant ruby hue, the Lucy Gamay Noir is a compelling expression of this varietal, showcasing a bouquet of red currant, wild strawberry, and a hint of white pepper. On the palate, it offers a delicate balance of bright acidity and supple tannins, underscored by flavors of ripe cherry and cranberry, with a whisper of earthy minerality. The mid-palate reveals a subtle complexity with a touch of clove and a silky texture, leading to a refreshing, mineral-driven finish. This wine stands as a fine example of Gamay's potential outside of its traditional Beaujolais home.

We are 50+ wine professionals (sommeliers, buyers, MW candidates) across the US, UK, France, Greece, Italy, and beyond. We review wines via blind tastings with a standardized rubric, using both 100-point and 5-star scales.

Lucy Gamay Noir is crafted from the Gamay grape, known for its vibrant fruit character and refreshing acidity. The vineyard is located in a cool-climate region, benefiting from coastal breezes that enhance the grape's natural brightness. The wine undergoes a traditional fermentation process in stainless steel tanks to preserve its fresh, fruit-forward profile. Minimal oak influence ensures that the wine's lively red berry and floral notes remain at the forefront. Designed for immediate enjoyment, this wine offers a light-bodied, approachable style with a clean finish, making it an ideal choice for casual sipping or pairing with a variety of dishes.
