Lucien Albrecht Pinot Gris Alsace Grand Cru 'Pfingstberg' is a richly-textured, age-worthy white from France's Northeast. The grapes are sourced from the village of Orschwihr from the southeastern-facing Grand Cru Pfingstberg hillside. The yields are low, resulting in intensely concentrated grapes and wines. The fermentation and maturation occurs in inert vessels as to retain the variety's and site's personality. The wine fermentation is halted prior to completion to retain sweetness in the wine, to maintain an overall balance and harmony.
