Jauneault Larrett
Soft 2013 with a medium body, featuring a mix of red berries and a whisper of depth, with a spicy follow through that's a bit more pronounced than the previous year
Sangun
Vibrant change from my usual choices, with a grassy nose that recalls the rustic charm of a Tuscan barn. The spicy and peppery nuances upfront are reflective of the rolling hills of Tuscany, at the same time the muskiness in the back of the mouth evokes the warm sunshine and lush vineyards. The wine is remarkably smooth, with almost no tannins and a very short finish. The flavor profile is surprisingly unstructured, with a understated berry note that adds a satisfying sweetness without any of the astringency. It's a perfect accompaniment to a leisurely afternoon spent watching the sunset with a simple yet satisfying meal, such as a beet salad on toasted bread.

Les Vignobles des Côtes d'Agly Notre Dame de Laval Côtes du Roussillon offers a diverse experience. While some find it smooth with a grassy nose and spicy, peppery notes, others appreciate its nutty and easy-drinking nature. Red berries and a hint of muskiness are noted, though some find the finish short and unstructured. It's a versatile wine that pairs well with simple meals.
This Côtes du Roussillon presents a deep garnet hue, indicative of its robust character. The bouquet unfolds with layers of ripe blackberries, plums, and a hint of garrigue, underscored by subtle notes of black olive and anise. On the palate, it reveals a full-bodied structure with finely grained tannins and a vibrant acidity that provides balance and lift. The mid-palate is rich with dark chocolate and a whisper of dried herbs, leading to a long, mineral-inflected finish. This wine exemplifies the sun-drenched terroir of Roussillon, offering both power and elegance.
