This full-bodied red wine receives praise for its rich fruit flavors like cherry and berry jam, balanced spice notes, and smooth texture. While some appreciate its robust tannins and peppery finish, others find it occasionally unbalanced with overpowering fruitiness or bracing qualities. Recent vintages show improved structure.
Displaying a deep garnet hue, this wine opens with an inviting bouquet of ripe blackcurrant and plum, underscored by hints of dried herbs and subtle spice. On the palate, it reveals a medium-bodied structure with well-integrated tannins and a vibrant acidity that enhances its fruit-forward character. The mid-palate is enriched by notes of black cherry and a whisper of dark chocolate, leading to a smooth, lingering finish. This wine exemplifies the approachable yet nuanced style of the Languedoc region, offering both immediate enjoyment and the potential for short-term cellaring.
