What the web is saying

Les Athlètes du Vin Grolleau is praised for its tart berry profile, with cherry and strawberry notes. While some find it zesty and harmonious, others note a dry, astringent finish. The wine is described as lively and fruit-forward, with a light to medium body and low acidity. It pairs well with food, offering a delightful experience, though some find it lacking in refinement.

Voss Experts4.5

This Loire Valley Grolleau presents a vibrant ruby hue, revealing a bouquet of red currant and wild strawberry, underscored by hints of white pepper and fresh herbs. On the palate, it is light-bodied yet expressive, with a lively acidity that enhances its juicy red fruit core. The tannins are fine-grained, offering a subtle grip that complements its mineral undertone. The finish is crisp and refreshing, marked by a whisper of floral notes. This wine exemplifies the quintessential Loire red, offering an approachable yet nuanced experience, ideal for those exploring the region's diverse varietal expressions.
