Le Vieux Donjon Châteauneuf-du-Pape is praised for its rich, full-bodied character, with notes of black currant, nutmeg, and earthy undertones. It features a smooth, long finish and is well-balanced with high acidity. Some find it overpowering and tannic, but others appreciate its complexity and aging potential. The wine pairs well with meats and has a reputation for quality and value.
Le Vieux Donjon Châteauneuf-du-Pape is an intensely ripe and powerful wine, with aromas of dark fruit, sweet spices, and earthy tones. On the palate, it is full-bodied and dense, with ripe blackberry and cherry flavors, supported by firm tannins and a hint of savory herbs. The finish is long and lingering, with notes of licorice, vanilla, and spice.
