Returning to Le Morette winery for a visit in 2022, I was pleased to see that the backlog was finally cleared. The winery's efforts to restore and revitalize its operations were evident in the newly renovated facilities.

A layered wine with a rich, silky texture, its flavors unfold with a elegant balsamic hay, a wisp of fresh peach, and a lingering leather note. The crispness has mellowed, allowing a ripe pineapple and overripe medlar to shine, at the same time a sprig of Rucola adds a peppery depth. The lasting impression is long and satisfying, with a soft sapphire undertone. at the same time it may be reaching its limits, the wine's layers is undeniable, but its close is somewhat lacking in finesse. Overall, a satisfying, if not uniquely impressive, wine.
