Fairly robust wine, but not the fruit explosion I was expecting. It's a run-of-the-mill wine with a steady eddy of characteristics. I'm fairly certain I'm over-scoring these, and I'll likely drop it to 2.5 going forward.
Jerika Alasaly
We were thoroughly delighted with our purchase. The table wine was polished and sophisticated, just right paired by the deep nuances of Confit de Canard. We highly recommend this exceptional offering.
Gglol Turrisi
The wine has a medium body. The flavor profile of the grapes is light, but it pairs well with light meals. The value for money is exceptional.

La Piuma Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is appreciated for its robust and rich fruit profiles, including blackberry, plum, and cherry, with smooth tannins and earthy undertones. While some find it well-balanced and versatile, others feel it lacks complexity and depth. Its medium body and affordability make it a popular choice for casual dining, though opinions vary on its overall sophistication.
This Montepulciano d'Abruzzo presents a deep ruby hue, indicative of its robust character. The bouquet unfolds with layers of ripe black cherry, plum, and a hint of dried herbs, underscored by subtle notes of leather and earth. On the palate, it reveals a medium to full body with a velvety texture, supported by well-integrated tannins and a vibrant acidity that provides structure and balance. The finish is long and satisfying, echoing the wine's fruit and savory elements. This wine exemplifies the classic style of Montepulciano, offering both complexity and approachability, ideal for pairing with hearty Italian cuisine.
