Jacquesson Champ Cain Extra Brut Champagne Grand Cru 'Avize' 2014

Very good wine, well-suited for pairing with meat.

Decadent and opulent Champagne exploration unfolds, with a delightful symmetry of sweet and savory notes, featuring caramel, nougats, and white truffles, supported by the understated warmth of orange, apricot, and floral hints, all tempered by a lively acidity, as evidenced by the remarkable aging of this 18-year-old vintage from the esteemed Jacquesson.

Delightful blend of rustic charm and classy sophistication, this French Champagne is a masterclass in equilibrium and finesse. The biscuit, peach, and cherry layers provide a sweet and fruity foundation, during the green apple and citrus add a zesty and bright touch. The pear and honey tastes are a perfect match, as are the nutty and walnut notes, which add nuance and complexity. The saline cedar and tropical subtle flavors round out the experience, leaving the profile feeling clean and revitalized. The finish is long and satisfying, with a understated trace of cranberry that persists on the finish. Overall, this is a truly exceptional Champagne that is sure to please even the most discerning palates.
