Intrigo Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is praised for its voluptuous and luxurious profile, capturing black currants and ripe red fruit, with a supple linger. It's described as a comforting experience.
This Montepulciano d'Abruzzo presents a deep garnet hue, indicative of its robust character. The nose unfolds with layers of ripe black cherry, plum, and a hint of dried herbs, underscored by subtle notes of leather and earth. On the palate, it reveals a full-bodied structure with well-integrated tannins and a vibrant acidity that provides balance and lift. The mid-palate is rich with flavors of dark chocolate and a whisper of anise, leading to a long, savory finish. This wine exemplifies the classic profile of Montepulciano, offering both complexity and approachability, making it a quintessential expression of the region.
