WINE DESCRIPTION
This white wine from Illahe is an Alsatian-style Pinot Gris, sourced from vineyards located in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. This wine is made from grapes that undergo gentle pressing directly after picking. The grapes are fermented in a combination of large neutral French oak casks and stainless steel to give both texture and brightness of fruit to the base wines before they are blended. The wine stays on the lees (dead yeast) throughout vinification process which further adds the texture and body of the wine.

This well-crafted Pinot Gris has a pale golden appearance with a nose of ripe peach, cantaloupe melon, honeysuckle, and lemon zest. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with a slight oiliness.There is a nice balance between refreshing acidity and the juicy stone and melon flavors that are rounded off by a creamy texture. The finish is moderate and inviting, with a touch of minerality and a hint of jasmine and acacia, lending a seductive aromatic lift to the wine.
