Captivating merit for the quality, with a welcome surprise when you finally discover an Italian white that embodies the perfect blend of style and fruitiness, rather than the usual dryness or lack thereof.

Voss Experts4.5

Il Casato Sauvignon Blanc from Friuli presents a luminous straw-yellow hue, indicative of its vibrant character. The nose unfolds with an aromatic bouquet of ripe gooseberry, elderflower, and a hint of freshly cut grass, underscored by a subtle minerality. On the palate, the wine reveals a harmonious balance between its zesty citrus acidity and a textured, medium-bodied mouthfeel, showcasing notes of green apple and white peach. The finish is crisp and enduring, with a whisper of saline complexity that speaks to its Friulian terroir. This Sauvignon Blanc exemplifies the region's capacity for producing refined, expressive wines.
