As a wine enthusiast of the Loire Valley, I was pleasantly surprised by this bottle of Pouilly-Fumé. The wine's golden color is echoing of the region's characteristic mineral notes. The nose is filled with the sweet aromas of apples, pears, and green apples, accompanied by a delicate whisper of flint. The mouthfeel is crisp and refreshing, with a refined grip that lingers on the finish. The bracing quality is refreshing, and the wine's vibrant personality is a testament to its 2013 vintage. A true delight from the Loire Valley.

Henri Bourgeois Pouilly-Fumé En Travertin is praised for its vibrant citrus, apple, and tropical fruit notes, balanced by minerality and a crisp finish. While some enjoy its nuanced flavors and refreshing acidity, others find certain vintages overly bitter or lacking in depth. It's often recommended for seafood pairings, offering a versatile and elegant drinking experience with a consistent quality across vintages.
This Henri Bourgeois Pouilly-Fumé En Travertin is a beautiful and complex Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley in France. On the nose, it has aromas of lemon, lime, green apple and a hint of white flowers. On the palate, it has a mineral-driven core, with a good balance of acidity and a long, clean finish. Flavors of grapefruit, gooseberry, and white peach dominate, with subtle notes of lemongrass and grassy herbs. This is an elegant, well-balanced white that will pair well with shellfish, salads, and light cheeses.
