Joenah
Harmonious and textured Champagne with a delicate, pale pink hue, providing a nuanced floral notes of rose, red currant, and citrus notes, accompanied by a rich, textured profile with savory and umami undertones, accompanied by a long, zesty finish.
Haruhiro
Well-rounded selection, with a good equilibrium of tension, acidity, and structure. The sweetness was well-handled, but the price was a drawback. A decent effort, but not a standout.
Yubi
Gusbourne winery's 2022 vintage saw a especially challenging year, with cooler temperatures and reduced yields. In response, the winery opted for a more nuanced approach, leveraging a selection of Burgundian clones to enhance the fruit's natural profile. The majority of the Pinot noir was fermented in oak barrels for 12-14 days, allowing the fruit to retain its characteristic richness. The result is a wine that features the winery's expertise in crafting a still red wine with a deep, fruity flavor profile.
