Wine of top notch promise, with a full bodied and complex profile that exhibits the best of Piedmont's Nebbiolo. The first single vineyard bottling of this esteemed varietal, it delivers on its promise of intensity, complexity, and balance. The nose unfolds with a nuanced balance of floral and red fruit notes, giving way to toasted, chocolate, and roasted nut flavors. The close is long and satisfying, with a final note of roasted nut that lingers. A truly superb wine.

Truly fantastic wine, displaying the best of Italian Nebbiolo. A 95% Nebbiolo, 5% Barbera blend, still young and full of life, with a smell that requires patience to fully unfold its sophisticated aromas of intense cherries, menthol, cranberries, and rose petals. The wine is robust, with a dense smoothness and layers of flavor, comprising opaque cherries, tobacco, chocolate, and spices, all masterfully refined by grippy tannins and a refreshing acidity. A truly impressive wine that will only improve with age, making it a captivating choice for long-term storage.

Gaja Sorì San Lorenzo is celebrated for its complex, full-bodied profile with rich red and black fruit flavors, floral notes, and a robust tannic structure. While some appreciate its aging potential and layered complexity, others find it initially dry and tannic. Common descriptors include cherry, chocolate, forest floor, and spices, with a long, satisfying finish. This wine is praised for its balance and ability to improve with age.
This deep, ruby-hued Gaja Sorì San Lorenzo is a powerful, yet balanced, expression of Nebbiolo from the famed Piedmont region of Italy. On the nose, aromas of ripe, dark fruit, earth, leather, and spice are complemented by hints of forest floor, menthol, and dried herbs. On the palate, lush flavors of cherry, blueberry, and plum are framed by firm tannins and a distinct minerality, leading to a long, savory finish. A compelling and impressive wine, this Gaja Sorì San Lorenzo is best enjoyed with robust dishes such as game or aged cheeses.
