Rich and full-bodied wine with a complex golden hue, boasting a perfumed and smooth bouquet. The sensation is dry, with a lush and intense flavor profile that offers apricots, before returning to a pleasing finish.

Well-balanced and long-lasting wine with a dry palate, featuring red apple notes and a spicy undertone, tempered by a bright finish. The color is medium golden, but the temperature was too low to fully appreciate its nuances.

What the web is saying

Francois Villard Condrieu DePoncins is praised for its lush, exotic fruit flavors, including apricot, peach, and lychee, with a smooth, full-bodied texture. While some appreciate its floral and herbal notes, others find it lacks intensity in older vintages. The wine's minerality and balanced acidity are noted, making it a versatile choice for pairing with rich dishes. Overall, it offers a complex and satisfying experience.

Voss Experts4.3

This Francois Villard Condrieu DePoncins is an opulent white wine made from the Viognier grape grown in the Condrieu appellation of the Rhone Valley. The nose is intense and complex with aromas of white flowers, stone fruits, citrus, and honey. On the palate, this full-bodied wine has a creamy texture and a long finish. It shows beautiful notes of apricot, peach, and orange zest with a hint of spice and minerality. Enjoy this delightful wine with fish or poultry dishes.
