What the web is saying

Fattoria dei Barbi Brunello di Montalcino is praised for its rich, full-bodied profile with flavors of cherry, leather, and forest floor. It offers a smooth, balanced finish with well-integrated tannins. While some find it complex and elegant, others note it can be overly acidic or lacking depth. The wine pairs well with hearty dishes and is appreciated for its aging potential, though some vintages may require patience to fully develop.

Voss Experts4.5

This Brunello di Montalcino from Fattoria dei Barbi is an intense and complex red wine that offers aromas of fresh red fruits, violet, leather and balsamic. On the palate, it is enveloping and deep, with a structured and balanced tannic texture that supports a long finish of great elegance and complexity.

We are 50+ wine professionals (sommeliers, buyers, MW candidates) across the US, UK, France, Greece, Italy, and beyond. We review wines via blind tastings with a standardized rubric, using both 100-point and 5-star scales.
