Aged leather and a strong, pungent cheese scent linger on the nose, accompanied by a dry finish.

Wine that truly resonates with its surroundings. This Barolo Prapò 2007 is a masterclass in intricacy and nuance. The nose is a symphony of dried rose petals, clay pot, and dried cherry, with a gentle wisp of licorice and peppery spiciness. The flavor is a harmonious blend of silky round tannins and a rich, velvety texture, with a lingering conclusion that defies description. Truly a memorable wine. Top 3 wine for me so far. Return.

Wine tour in Piedmont often lacks sufficient time for in-depth tasting notes, resulting in a limited understanding of the region's diverse wines.

What the web is saying

Ettore Germano Barolo Prapò is praised for its complex aromas of leather, dried cherry, and floral notes. While some appreciate its rich, velvety texture and harmonious tannins, others find certain vintages need more aging to reach their full potential. The wine's earthy and mineral undertones, along with its long-lasting finish, make it a sophisticated choice, though some find the acidity sharp.

Voss Experts4.0

This Ettore Germano Barolo Prapò is a voluptuous and vibrant red wine from the Piedmont region of Italy. Its bouquet is loaded with aromas of dried cherry, raspberry, and spice, while notes of leather, forest floor, and earthy minerality provide a complex and layered experience. Its intense, full-bodied palate is balanced by silky tannins and a long, lingering finish. Enjoy this wine with roasted pork, grilled meats, and roasted vegetables for an elegant meal.
