Fabis
Rich, full-bodied Barolo with a long, enjoyable finish.
Yibe Marinalva
Pinot with a fruity and slightly sweet nose, but as it aged, its brightness and tannins became apparent, revealing a more bold character. Fresh and refined, it was clearly a 2011 or 2012 vintage, with no excess ripeness evident. A smooth and elegant wine, it was a producer that defied categorization, blending modern and traditional elements. Its approachability was notable, and I found it to be a mind-blowing example of a producer that has successfully navigated the transition from modern to traditional winemaking.
Duf
Concentrated and multi faceted wine with a nose that is both fruity and floral, featuring touches of strawberries, plums, and flowers. The profile is well-balanced, with dominant red berry hints and a spicy aftertaste. The tannins are firm, suggesting that the wine has a top notch deal of potential for aging and maturation.

Elvio Cogno Barolo Ravera is praised for its rich, full-bodied character, with flavors of cherry, forest floor, and earthy notes. It offers a long, satisfying finish and is noted for its aging potential. While some find it elegant and well-balanced, others feel it needs more refinement. The wine's complexity and blend of modern and traditional elements are appreciated, making it a compelling choice for Barolo enthusiasts.
This Elvio Cogno Barolo Ravera is a full-bodied red wine with aromas of ripe red fruit, spice, and a slight herbal note. On the palate, it is well structured and balanced, with a powerful tannic backbone, silky texture, and flavors of dark cherry, licorice, and dried herbs. The finish is long and persistent, with a hint of dark chocolate. This Barolo is an excellent example of the Nebbiolo variety, and an impressive expression of the Ravera vineyard.
