This Barolo from Elio Altare is an excellent expression of the Nebbiolo grape. It displays an intense ruby red color and a complex aroma of dried flowers, cherries, and licorice. On the palate, the tannins are smooth and elegant, while the flavors of blackberry, leather, and spices linger on the finish. Enjoy its intense yet balanced character with a savory beef dish or aged cheese.
