What the web is saying

El Coto Coto de Imaz Rioja Gran Reserva is appreciated for its rich, full-bodied character with notes of oak, vanilla, and dark fruits like blackberry and plum. While some praise its complexity and smooth tannins, others find it overly oaky or lacking in subtlety. Its robust structure pairs well with hearty dishes, making it a favorite for special occasions. The wine's aging potential is often highlighted.

Voss Experts4.0

The El Coto Coto de Imaz Rioja Gran Reserva is an exquisite, full-bodied red wine. It features an intense nose of ripe blackberry and raspberry, with hints of toasty oak and notes of spice. On the palate, the wine is smooth and velvety, with a good balance of acidity and tannins. It finishes with a lingering finish, with subtle notes of dark chocolate and vanilla. Enjoy this excellent Rioja with a grilled steak or roast lamb.
