Decent Gigondas, but not exceptional. Decanting time was lengthy, and the blend was somewhat uneven. The price is out of proportion to the quality.

The Châteauneuf-du-Pape region, often overshadowed by its larger counterpart, Gigondas, boasts a unique character. The Grenache grapes, even as not as intense as their counterparts, contribute a rich, full-bodied touch to the wine. The black fruits and nuanced oak tones add nuance and richness to the altogether profile.

The wine's fruity profile complements the rich, savory tones of tête de veau and pigeon, creating a elegant and satisfying culinary experience.

Voss Experts4.5

A robust expression of Southern Rhône terroir, Domaine d'Ouréa Gigondas presents a deep garnet hue that hints at its intensity. The bouquet unfolds with layers of ripe black cherry, dried herbs, and a whisper of garrigue, underpinned by a mineral edge. On the palate, it reveals a full-bodied structure, with velvety tannins and a vibrant acidity that harmoniously balance the wine's richness. Notes of dark plum, licorice, and a touch of peppery spice linger on the extended finish. This Gigondas exemplifies the region's potential for producing wines of both power and finesse, promising further complexity with age.
