Voss Expert tasting note

This Aglianico Riserva presents a deep garnet hue, indicative of its robust structure and aging potential. The nose is a complex tapestry of ripe black cherry, dried plum, and a hint of earthy underbrush, interwoven with subtle notes of anise and leather. On the palate, it reveals a full-bodied intensity, with firm tannins and a vibrant acidity that provide a backbone to its concentrated dark fruit core. The finish is long and savory, accented by nuances of dark chocolate and a whisper of dried herbs, showcasing the wine's remarkable balance and regional authenticity.

Di Majo Norante Sassius Aglianico Riserva is crafted from Aglianico grapes grown in the Molise region of Italy, benefiting from a Mediterranean climate with significant diurnal temperature variation. The wine undergoes a traditional fermentation process followed by aging in oak barrels, which imparts structure and complexity. This Riserva offers a robust profile with dark fruit flavors, balanced acidity, and firm tannins, making it suitable for extended aging. It is an ideal choice for those who appreciate a full-bodied red wine with depth and character, reflective of its southern Italian terroir.
