Djoni Patocchi
Dense, bold red with a delicate accent of metallic undertones. The nose is tightly closed, with a lack of freshness and a dominant body of acidity. The sensation is short and compact, with a scarcity of fruitiness. The ending is brief and lacks vibrancy. Tasted on 02/13.

Di Majo Norante Sangiovese is praised for its rich, full-bodied character and complex flavors of cherry, plum, and earthy undertones. While many appreciate its smooth finish and versatility with food, some find it lacking in vibrancy and freshness, especially in older vintages. The wine's balance of fruit and spice is often highlighted, though a few note a metallic or monotonous profile in certain years.
The Di Majo Norante Sangiovese is an enticing Italian red wine that captivates the senses with its vibrant flavors and charming character. On the nose, it presents a delightful bouquet of ripe red cherries, blackberries, and hints of herbs. The palate is greeted with juicy and luscious fruit flavors, dominated by succulent red cherries and plums. A touch of spice adds complexity, while soft tannins provide a smooth and elegant mouthfeel. With its medium body and refreshing acidity, this Sangiovese is incredibly versatile, pairing well with a range of dishes, from traditional Italian pasta to roasted meats. Enjoy this delightful wine that showcases the true essence of Sangiovese.
